Dalektable

Tuesday, August 3rd, 2010

Dalek has a great project unveiling tomorrow night called ‘Chaos on the edge of reasoning’. A huge 37 foot mural artwork has been created which will be cut up and sold off in various sized chunks over the coming days. I would kill to see this in reality, the colours look like they’d take the eye out of you. More information here.

Other

Thursday, August 27th, 2009

other1I first met Other a few years ago when we did a show in The Bernard Shaw in Dublin. He’s one of life great gentlemen and his work is still deeply moving and evocative. He’s been doing some tasty street work in New York over the last few weeks. He’s also cutting some lovely little linoleum prints that he’s selling on his Flickr pages. They’re great value and all the cash goes to fund his new lino cut book project.

Dalek goes BIG!

Wednesday, June 24th, 2009

A cool timelapsed video of Dalek painting the headquarters of clothes label Hurley. We are always in awe of Dalek’s work and this is a great look at his process especially on such a large scale.

It’s an NY thing!

Just saw this on the Kaws blog, looks like Todd James / Reas has put together a truly amazing show featuring Espo, Futura, Jose Parla, Daze, Dash Snow, Todd and Kaws themselves and many others. Click here for a preview, I reckon best to pop along yourself and see these pieces in the flesh in you’re in or hitting the Big Apple.

Wow. These paintings (all oil on canvas) are mind-blowingly amazing. So haunting. They go way beyond their expert technique… I can’t stop looking at them. They are the work of recent Pennsylvania Fine Arts graduate Michael Ciervo. Go visit his site right now here.
