OFFSET2010 speaker Steve ‘Espo’ Powers and Chiho Aoshima have teamed up with Absolut to produce 2 unique bottles each for a promotion called The Art Of Sharing. The bottles are seriously cool, as is the animation below. Can’t wait to see Steve rocking Grand Canal Theatre in October, it’s all about to start feeling very real. More pics and info here.

Interesting to see the Australian’s taking the lead on this radical form of editing packaging for the sake, as they see it, of the public’s health. Unbranded, stripped of the brand’s colour and named in the most generic way possible, I’ll have my eyes on this as it pans out. From the sounds of it though, the Aussies are up for the fight.

In a world full of shouty packaging design it’s nice to know that there is another way. Step forward the samples gathered here who concisely prove less is absolutely more.

Meant to post this ages ago but never did. In what has become an annual event Absolut have unveiled their seasonal edition, this year opting for The Rock Edition. Stories of debaucherous launch parties and S&M influences make for interesting reading but on its own it’s still a killer creative and a must have for your drinks cabinet/shelf. In other news, Absolut can do no wrong as The Dieline, my favourite packaging showcase site, has more than a couple of Absolut’s range in their recent Best Of Liquor Packaging overview. My favourite, by far, has to be the No Label bottle available only in the coolest places on earth. Me wanty.
