The Burgermat Show… Yum!

Wednesday, June 29th, 2011

The first of what we hope will be many Burgermat’s Shows opened the other night in London. Organised by a good friend and burgerphile who runs the uber-tasty blog Burgerac it was a pop-up burger night with great food and great beers all served on burgermats created by a plethora of creative types. In the mix were James Joyce, Andy Rementer, Small Print’s BRENB, Asbestos, Mark Blamire and many more. For those who weren’t there (here’s a blow by blow of one person’s experience) you can buy the artworks from the guys at Print-Process now. Saucy (and mustardy)!

Burgers, Burgers, Burgers…oh and some art too!

Monday morning again so let’s kick off with something really tasty to help get us through the first 5 day week in a while. What Katie Ate is the incredible blog of Irish born graphic designer turned food photographer Katie Quinn Davis who is now based in the sunnier climbs of Sydney, Australia. From a standing start, over only a couple of years she has developed her site into a leading culinary treasure trove of recipes realised with stunning photography and some added little treats like minifilms, magazines (her 470+ page Christmas magazine is a must-look/read) and other insights. With a book deal on the way I’ve a feeling we’re going to be seeing a lot more of what Katie ate everywhere. It might be only 8am but after looking at this I’m already starving.

Food for thought
